The surgical extraction of the skin which covers the tip of the penis is circumcision. For male infants in some parts of the globe, including the United States, the treatment is fairly normal. It's necessary to have circumcision after the new-born age, but it's a more complicated process. Circumcision is a religious tradition for many communities. A family practice, personal grooming, or preventive health care may also be a matter of the process. Circumcision seems excessive or disfiguring for some, though.
